U.S. Post Office Department Administrative chest badge, number 1241, with broken vertical hinged pin on verso. Spread eagle surmounts circular medallion with upper portion marked "POST OFFICE" and lower portion inscribed "NEW YORK N.Y." in raised block letters. Center of medallion bears a design incorporating a paddle and railway wheel with single wing in core and envelope at base of design. The skirt is marked "1241".
