Fruit Stall

James McNeill Whistler (1834-1903)

Intaglio print depicting a canal scene. Two boats rest in the canal below figures gathered around a fruit stand on the walkway above the water. A cloth is strung from poles above them and casts a shadow across the wall. To the right of the stand is a darkened doorway in which two figure stand.
