Smithsonian Institution

Smithsonian Open Access releases millions of images and data records across its museums under Creative Commons Zero (CC0). Records it hasn't released that way carry other usage terms, so the label matters object by object.

The Smithsonian's Open Access API marks each record's usage, and we only include records marked CC0.

On collections.si.edu, CC0 records show a CC0 label and a download option under the image.
